Cymbidium orchids are the best known and most widely grown of all orchids and orchid hybrid types which will survive in almost any place. The Cymbidium orchid flower is very showy and there can be as many as 10-15 blooms or more on a single spike. The blooms vary in size and this reflects their labeling. Standard cymbidium orchids have large flowers and the miniature cymbidium orchid varieties have smaller flowers. The Cymbidium orchids come in Pink, White, Yellow, Orange, Light Green, and variations in-between. Recommended delivery date is 1 to 2 days before your event. If your event is Saturday suggested delivery date is Thursday or Friday.

Cymbidium Orchids have an average of 6 to 12 blooms per stem.

Average bloom size is 2 to 4 inches in diameter.

Average stem length is 16 to 20 inches.

Length from bottom of stem to the first flower will range from 3 to 5 inches.

Average stem width is 1/16th of an inch in the largest circumference including blooms 2 to 4 inches.

Orchids are shipped with water tubes to supply continuous hydration during shipping. Boxes will contain cotton like protective wrapping to ensure proper travel.

Expected vase life is an average minimum of 8 days.

Since flowers are a product of Mother Nature and due to variation in monitor resolutions, the exact color tones of this flower may vary to some degree.

Flower Care  - Make Your Flowers Last Longer! -
 
Proper flower care begins with the timing of your delivery. We recommend you schedule your flowers to arrive 2 to 3 days before the actual event. Since your flowers will be shipped direct from the farms, you will be receiving them at the same stage as a flower wholesaler. So they will probably look different than you are used to purchasing. After they have been properly hydrated and put into a state of suspended animation, they ship in dry packs (usually). It is NORMAL for your flowers to appear sleepy and thirsty on arrival.
 
With proper care, they can last up to one week or more. A few hours after hydration, they will perk up and look dramatically different.
 
Follow these simple steps for maximum performance and satisfaction:
 

Bulk Cymbidium Orchids are shipped directly from our flower farms. Before shipping your flowers, we prepare them for their journey with proper hydration methods. Just follow these simple steps:

 

1. Remove flowers from box. If your Orchids do not arrive in water tubes, go directly to step 2. If your Orchids arrive with water tubes, simply check to make sure the water tubes contain water then prop them upright with the tubes attached. There is no immediate need to cut and put them in water. When you are ready to make your arrangements, then move onto step 2. However, keep an eye on the water level inside the tubes. You may need to fill them with water as needed.

 

2. Fill a container with fresh, cool water to the desired level.

 

3. Cut stems diagonally approximately one inch from bottom under running water with sharp scissors or knife.

 

4. Immediately after cutting, place the stems in the prepared container.

 

5. Keep flowers away from direct sunlight, drafts or excessive heat.

 

6. Blooms toward the bottom of the stem are older than blooms near the top of the stem. It is normal for the bottom blooms to die sooner. Simply remove any dying blooms daily.

 

7. Every 24 hours, re-cut the stems repeating the steps above to maximize the life and beauty of your flowers.

 

Orchids are shipped in full bloom. There is no need to receive the flowers many days in advance for blooming purposes. If you like, you can leave your Orchids standing upright with the stems in the water tubes until you are ready to design the flowers.

 

Orchids do not like refrigeration; it may damage them. Optimal temperature for your orchids is 18C or 65F. Anything cooler than this could potential be harmful and may damage the flowers.

For your Special Event, we recommend that you have your fresh flowers or Wedding Flowers delivered 2 to 3 days before the actual event. For a weekend event, your flowers should be delivered on the Thursday (or Friday at the latest).
 
We use FedEx Next Day delivery service. Your flowers will most likely be delivered before 11:30am. If you are in an extended delivery area, they should arrive by 5p.m. Contact FedEx for the guaranteed delivery time for your delivery zip code at 1-800-GOFEDEX.
 
Deliveries are available Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We encourage delivery by Thursday. If there are any weather delays, that will allow an extra day for delivery. Amazonflowers.us is not responsible for delivery delays.
 
You should receive an automatically generated tracking number by email the day before your scheduled delivery date. You can use it to track your package online at www.fedex.com.
 
FedEx require signature at time of delivery. Please arrange to have somebody at the delivery location to ensure proper delivery. If you miss your delivery, please contact FedEx at 1.800-GO-FEDEX directly with your tracking number to reschedule delivery. If you have ever signed a door tag by FedEx authorizing them to leave a package, all future packages will be delivered without a signature requirement.
 
Each order must have a working telephone number. FedEx will not accept any orders without a working telephone number.
 
Please review your shipping address and Zip Code carefully. If you provide the wrong shipping address, we are not responsible for any problems that may result. Any shipping redirects or changes will incur a $9 fee. Changes may not be feasible as the delivery date approaches, especially once the shipping tracking number has been assigned.
